To Our Journey

Jesus tells his followers in Matthew 5:13-16 to be "salt and light' in this world. As a growing church with a vision to "Making Christ Visible" in our community, we recognize our responsibility and opportunity to be "salt and light" in a rapidly expanding Lexington County. With that in mind, in early 2023, we embarked on a journey of self-examination, taking a closer look at the ministries of our church, and the needs of our church and community. We carefully evaluated the effectiveness of those ministries to see if they were meeting our goal of "Making Christ Visible". Over the last fifteen months, we have identified strategies we believe will help us move in the direction God has for Living Word. Our passion is to see lives transformed by Christ and to be a place of discipleship for those being transformed by Him.

What We Believe

Holy Bible

The Bible is completely inspired by God and serves as our authoritative guide for faith and practice.

One God

There is only One True God, known as the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus is God's Son, both completely man and completely God.

Redemption

Salvation is received through repentance towards God and faith towards Lord Jesus Christ. Being justified by grace, through faith, man inherits eternal life.

Baptism In The Holy Spirit

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a free gift for all believers that will give them strength to live life as a witness for Jesus Christ.

Second Coming

Jesus will return, judge the world, and begin a time of eternal relationship with those who follow Him and eternal separation from those who choose not to follow.
